David Pierce Mysona, MD

Description

Dr. David Mysona is a gynecologic oncologist at Hollings Cancer Center. He takes care of women with cancers of the ovaries, uterus, cervix, vagina, and vulva. He performs open, robotic, vaginal, and laparoscopic surgeries. He also specializes in chemotherapy, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. Dr. Mysona went to college at the University of South Carolina, where he studied biomedical engineering. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of North Carolina. He returned to the Medical College of Georgia for his gynecologic oncology fellowship. Dr. Mysona’s research focuses on how to better match therapies to each patient.
