Dr. Erin Ferguson is a licensed clinical psychologist with specializations in clinical health psychology and addiction. She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Florida, with a focus on health psychology/behavioral medicine. She completed a predoctoral internship at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where she gained further expertise in health psychology, substance use assessment and treatment, and outpatient mental health. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies at Brown University, with a specialized clinical focus on the evaluation and treatment of patients with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental and physical health conditions. Dr. Ferguson has now joined MUSC faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of BioBehavioral Medicine. She provides clinical services, including pre-surgical evaluations and outpatient therapy, to patients who are experiencing a variety of medical conditions and co-occurring mental health concerns.
